Escaping the heat from the heart of the city many artists traveled out to Long Islands east end. Inspiration, cool air and friendships greeted them as the smell of the sea filled the air.
The De Koonings lived in the Springs, with Lassaw, Plate and many others living or visiting near by.
This exhibition features paintings and sculpture by a number of these well respected artists.
